The OCC is a charity and relies solely on donations in order to provide specialised paediatric osteopathic treatment for babies and children up to the age of 18. In addition, the OCC provides specialised training for post-graduates in paediatrics, a two year Masters degree course that ensures the highest standard of paediatric care for the babies and children who visit our clinics in London and Manchester. Each year the OCC provides around 30,000 treatments and each treatment costs the charity around £50. We ask parents to make a donation for their baby or child's treatment, which means that those who can donate do, but those who can't afford it are not denied treatment. This means that we have to fundraise continuously for the shortfall, and are enormously appreciative - on behalf of all the babies and children we treat - for all monies raised and donated to us in order to continue this work. Every day we treat a wide range of problems from colic to cerebral palsy, autism to asthma, gastric reflux to glue ear, post-trauma to postural problems, epilepsy to eczema, sleep problems to premature birth - whatever is troubling a baby or child can always be helped by paediatric osteopathy. We never talk of miracles at the OCC, but parents often do. The OCC is setting up a support network of Friends of the OCC. For an annual donation of £30 you will receive a newsletter four times a year that will keep you up to date with news and events from the OCC, plus articles of interest, reader offers and ways in which you can help us continue to provide paediatric osteopathic treatment for babies and children through this national charity.
